Holidays at J.Crew
Normally I like to give shout out’s to smaller up-and-comers rather than big companies but this year J.Crew did something for their holiday season that stood out to me. They have a special section of their website dedicated to celebrity and artist curated selections. My favorite would have to be Lauren Hutton’s page. This classic American beauty picks seminal pieces like the Minnie Pant in Red and the Alpaca Shawl-Collar Cardigan.
Oui Oui
I wore this dress to work the other day and my coworker commented that I needed the perfect little red shoe to go with it. Of course a quick Zappos search led me to maybe the most expensive red flat on the site, the beautiful patent red Varina by Salavtore Ferragamo. While I will be dreaming of buying the shoes for the forseable eternity the dress is all mine and can be yours too here. It is from Trunk 13, the cutest little boutique in Savannah. Owner Lindsey updates her Facebook page regularly and takes orders and questions through it.

Makri for The Row
This post harkens back to my motivation for another post, The Problem with Being a Graphic Designer…. The logo for Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s clothing line, The Row, immediately caught my eye. I am definitely a sucker for logos with combined letter glyphs, when letters blend together.
What then got my attention though was the great new line of jewelry done by Makri for the Row. Check out this beautiful round eye ring in 18k pink gold with green, burgundy and black diamonds. In my pretend life where I am a millionairess, I would definitely be splurging on colored diamonds as a beautiful alternative to classic white diamonds.
EmersonMade
There are no words. I need this blue velvet coat. That is all.
EmersonMade is a line out of NYC, built from the ground up by Emerson, herself.
And this should be me…
